I remember fighting for my life getting to chapter 2 to actually put an upgraded suit on. I have fond but foggy memories of playing a true 'Very Hard' difficulty that had more limited ammo and forced you to avoid conflicts, rather than redoing Hard Mode with a single save and 'no deaths'. There is a nostalgiac charm about the slow, clunky pace and silent character. I'm sure the original does some things better. ![]() I haven't played the original for well over a decade, so I can't fairly compare the two freshly, just using memory. It is the most modern version of any game in the series. If I was going into it blind I'd just go for the remake.
